(continued from previous page)301It is said, that a man while coming home from a fair of Kinnegad, sw a Ghost on the side of the road, with bleeding whip weals across his back and shoulders. no doubt this was the poor peasant who was whipped to death years before. Stories like this, ought to excite our pity for those poor peasants who died during the famine.
