“A story is told dealing with Finn Mac Cumhaill and his wife.”
A story is told dealing with Finn Mac Cumhaill and his wife. Finn was threshing at this home his wife was on her holidays at Cashel. When the night came after the threshing Finn's wife knew that Finn needed butter for the mens supper.
She went to the dairy and she got fifty three pounds of butter. She went to the nearest hill and she got the butter in one hand and the meaning to throw it to Finn's house, she put it into a field. The butter turned into a stone and the marks of her fingers are on the stone.
The stone is in a field belong to a man by the name of "Ned Stones."
Finn sent word to his wife and told her not to go near him again over not sending the butter. To prove that she sent the butter she brought him to the field and he believed her.- Collector
