  1. There was once a man whose name was Johnny Gordon. He lived in Clonmore, which is situated near Rhode, Offaly. He was more commonly known as the "Dane Gordon". One night he has a dream that gold was hidden in his garden. He passed no remarks on the dream. Having the same dream the second night he was determined to look for the treasure. In the dream it was pointed out to him to bring a certain man with him. It so happened he was not on friendly relations with this neighbour so he decided to bring another man instead. They started operations at midnight. After about an hour hard's hard digging they came upon a large flat stone. He
