- The fair is always held in Tullamore it is never held locally. They are held on the third Friday on the month in Tullamore always.
- When an animal has been sold the person the person that is buying the animal claps the other man's hand to show that he had agreed to the bargain.
- When a cow is bought there is a stripe made on her back to show that the animal has been sold. It is a stripe of paint or coloured crayon.
