He gave his friends good mornings the night they were to go.

He gave his friends good warnings
The night they were to go.
Five hundred strong there did sool on not fearing any foe,
Five hundred strong there did roll on.
    Determined home to go,
At Killoughty barrack they met there darling foe,
Hall been the sergants name that time,
He saw them go that night,
He sent down to Mount Bolus where Belfert did reside,
    To lend his assistance,
Like wise some powder and ball
He swore he would stop the Rahan boys or else he would shoot them all
Key's took the Sergant by the breast for to prevent all trials,
Hoping it would be no one's laught that night to loose his life
