    Here is an extract from a poem which James Flynn wrote in praise of Tullybeg College.
    Tullybeg College.
    I am a speculatin labouring lad
    That rambles up and down
    Following the rural course of life
    Though fortune seems to frown
    Curiousity did me entice along the Rahan Road
    To view each lordly structure ther
    and Mansions place of abode.........
    [This is all that can be remembered]
    There was aslo a protestant poet named Tom Hodgens of Cornafurnish, Ballycumber, Offlay. He also was a very famous poet. He was born in Cornfornish. Gilligans live in the house where he was born. He was a very old man when he died. He was a protestant and he was buied in the graveyard in Liss. He made a song about the famine times. "The plough boys dream". was the name of it. He made all English he was considered a very good poet.
