  1. (continued from previous page)
when the two men were standing before them in the High field. The two men stood for about twenty minutes looking down towards the Shannon. They both had their hands in their pockets, and had two leather coats on, down to their heel, and two big caraline? hats on their heads.
The two were the one height about six foot six. They never stirred hand or foot. After some time the two turned on their heels and the two walked the one pace up the field. And as it was a very bright night the men could see them until they walked into Stirabout Hollow down a high ditch without ever putting their hands to it. They were two dead men Pat told his son. He knew them but he would not tell him their names.
