    come down the chimney and ask her for some money. One night she told them she had no money only what would support herself. Another night they came out of the room with seven red lights in their hands, and seven blackthorn sticks with them. They came over to her and said to her if they didn't get "Lots of money" that night they would kill her dead. She told them to go to the old press yonder and whatever was in it to take it and then clear out of her sight for ever and never be caught there again. Then they went over to the press and they got fourpence tied up in an old rag and they divided the money. Four of them had a penny each and three of them had nothing so instead of getting more money they got three slices of loaf bread. Every night they tormented the house worse and worse. They used to break tables and jugs and plates every night, so at last the priest said Mass in the house and every old ghost around the house dissappeared. The priest said that they were
