- When St. Ciaran was a little boy living near Rath Croghan all the other boys from the district used to go out and gather wild bee's honey. One day St Cieran's mother said to him "why don't you go out and gather some honey? He told her to give him the bucket and he went to the well for water he brought home the water left it on the table, and made the sign of the cross over it, and immediately the bucket of water was changed into honey.
