    game of cards with the Colonel and some officers who were under the influence of drink when an argument arose amongst them. After a time one of the officers lost his temper completely and seizing Mary Bolan in his arms threw her down the stone steps leading from the hall door killing her instantly. Next day at inquest the jury returned a verdict of accidental death, no blame being attached to anybody. She was buried in the Castle yard, her grave being covered by a
