    Midway on the road from Cloghan to Birr, Offaly at a place known as "Taylor's Cross" bout fifty years ago, there lived two brothers, named Frank and Mick Tiquin.
    Frank was a black-smith by trade and was noted for his great strength. He never met a man who was able to beat him at throwing the sledge.
