  1. (continued from previous page)
I pray to God to be my guide,
And if I die before I wake,
I pray to God my soul to take,
A Prayer to be said at any time
May all thats good be yours I pray,
May all thats bad be turned away,
May Christ all holy bless your days,
And keep you in his love always.
A Prayer to be said if before a crucifix
    A little medal crucifix,
As plain as it can be,
    But only God in heaven,
Knows how dear it is to me.
I have it always with me,
    In every step I take,
    In evening when I slumber,
    At morning when I wake.
    In dark and cloudy weather,
    In sunshine or in rain,
This little medal crucifix is with
    me just the same.
    And when the time approaches,
And I shall have to die,
This little medal crucifix will close
    beside me lie.
    The holy name of Jesus,
May be the last I say.
