- A long time ago a man by the name of James Doran Moycullen Borris was going to plough a field where a rath was. This man had to go to town on some important business. He sent his son William to plough it.
This man was very foolish and he ploughed rath and all. When James Doran came home he went out to see how his son was getting on with the field. Before he went to town he told his son not to plough the rath and when he came home, he had the rath and all ploughed This man did not know what to do and he scratched his head.
For a week or so after this all his cattle, horses, and sheep, were dying. This man lost a lot of animals one after another He went very sorrowful to the parish priest in Borris and(continues on next page)- Collector
