    of October the farmer digs the potatoes. He puts the potatoes in pits and he puts straw and clay over them to keep the frost out.
    The names of the potatoes sowed in my townland are Kerr Pinks, Aran Banners, Irish Queens, Uptodates, Presidents, Epicures, and Garden Fillers, and Shamrocks.
