  1. I live in Kyle, in the parish of Borris, in the barony of St Mullins. (Lower) Its Irish name is Cill which means the Church. There are seven houses in it and 38 people. All the houses are slated. There was a lot more people living in it, but they went to America and Austrailia. There are two men over 70 years of age living in it. They tell stories in English their names are Patk. Kavanagh and Joe Doyle There is good land in Kyle. There is no wood or bog in it. The common name is Shaughnessy There are no old ruins in it.
