The Cloister in Leighlin
Told by John Minchin, Coolnacuppogue. There was three Mule loads of valuables comprising coins, vessels and ornaments taken out of the cloister in Leighlin by Monks. They were thrown into the Barrow some miles further south of Leighlin. This action was taken by the Monks in order to prevent an expected plunder by the Danes.Peggie P. Minchin.
