    in the kitchen before the fire. There was a fire-place in the kitchen and one chimney on the house. The chimney was in the middle of it. It was made from yellow clay. Floors were generally made from clay and the walls were also built from it. Wood was used for fire. The material the people used for light at night were rushes. They were first pealed then dried and dipped in grease
