- (continued from previous page)and is noted for his courage, trust and friendliness. He has a bright red breast and black bold eyes. He builds his small round nest in an old boot, a watering-can or flower-pot. If any of these cannot be found he builds in a hole in a wall. He hatches the five grew-brown red shaded eggs night and day until five young robins appear. It is said that when Our Lord was dying on the cross a robin came to his aid and a drop of blood fell on his breast and reddened it.
Another of our feathered friend is the tiny wren. He has a reddish brown colour and long beak. He builds his home in a hole in an ivy wall. It is made of dead leaves and moss and lined with hair and feathers. A wren sometimes lays about 20 eggs. We(continues on next page)- Collector
