- Around here when there were no iron ploughs the people had what they called wooden ploughs. These wooden ploughs were very hard to work with. When they were working with them, it took one horse, with one man to lead the horse another man to hold the handle of the plough and two men to keep the plough in the ground. There are the remains of an old plough on the lands(continues on next page)
