- Years ago when there were no lorries the people had to draw ochre in horses and carts. The journey was long and the loads were heavy, and they always had to spend a night on the roads, with their loads. They went in groups, and they saw and heard many strange things. On one particular night when one of these groups of men were passing over a wild part of the road, they met a funeral and the men carrying the bier, and as they met one of the the men who was carrying the bier asked, who would carry next. Another made answer naming one of the men with the carts. He said, "No by the holy shot I'll carry none tonight", and the funeral disappeared.
