- Once upon a time there were races in Ballybrack. It was very fine, and as they were going a man from Ballynasilloge was there and it began spilling rain. The man was coming back by the mill there was a very big flood up, and he went to cross the river, and the horse and car were swept down the river, and the man clung on to the footbridge and the men coming along pulled him up. The horse was found in Ballykillane the car was found in Haroldstown.
