    Another remedy for warts in this locality if to count the warts and pick the same number of little stones. The stones are put in a little paper bag with a penny or a halfpenny.
    The bag is then left on the road and the person who comes along, and picks up the bag is said he will get all the warts that were on the other person.
    Sty - Another remedy practised around here for a sty is to get a gooseberry thorn and prick the sty nine times and then throw the thorn over your right shoulder
    Pimples - There is a herb grows around here commonly called Robin-run-the-hedge. The stalks are collected and washed, they are then boiled in water. They are boiled for three hours. The water is strained off them.
