    In Rathgarvin Co. Kildare there was a rath to which people often went to find what the future held in store for them.

    so late at night as those were the good people and they did not like people to watch them or interfere with them.
    3. In the Co. Kildare at a place called Two Mile House between Newbridge and Naas lived a poor struggling farmer called Mat Fay. One day Mat was making up ditches with the help of another man. The helper feeling thirsty went off to get a drink and the farmer continued working. While digging he unearthed a crock of gold. The man returning, Mat became uneasy fearing that the helper would find out his discovery. To get rid of him for a time he said "Will ye go home to me daughter and ask her to send me a sup of milk?" Off he went and Mat "rise" the crock of gold and another alongside it. He got the crocks to the ditch and had just covered them when the servant returned.
    Wishing to get rid of him until he would get his treasure home safely, Mat sent him on a message to Newbridge: meanwhile Mat went
