- Long ago people used to work harder and still live on three good meals a day, or some times a meal extra.
They used work before their breakfast in the morning, and the breakfast they would have is yellow porridge, and this would be brought down to them in a big jar to the field where they were working.
In some homes potatoes were eaten twice a day, for dinner, and supper, and very seldom tea was sued. Porridge was mostly used for the breakfast, cows and goats milk used to be drank along with the potatoes.
