  1. Long ago, in the farm at present owned by Mr J Case of Seskin, there lived a man named Pearson. He had a lot of gold, and one day he filled it into a churn, packed stones on top of it and told a workman to bury it in a draw well in the Orchard. The man did what he was told, and when he was finished, his Master made him promise to never tell anyone of the buried gold. The workman promised, but the Master, to make sure his secret was safe, shot the workman, and so the hiding place
