    The mark of Saint Laurence O'Toole's foot in a rock in Lower Brittas is a sure cure for warts. It has an unfailing supply of water.
    A poultice of flour and water was used for erysipelas.
    The local cure for toothache is nitre put into the gum.
    A piece of raw beef put on corns at night will give relief.
    Cold weak tea for sore eyes.
    Lime water and sweet oil for burns and scalds.
    A possit is the local remedy for a cold. Breadsoda is used for gum - boils.
    Paraffin oil is a good cure for chilblains.
