    put food down a chimney on a crook to the affected inhabitants. The fever was so dangerous that one young man came on horse-back to see his uncle. He only came within one hundred yards of the house and shouted in to know how his uncle was. He took sick and died three days later.
    The fever raged in February, March and April.
