    Out along the Main Road from Arklow to Wicklow there is an old orchard to be seen. Some years ago a man lived beside that orchard and he is said to have been dragged up and down the hollow by the fairies. His name was Coats and that is how the hollow got its name. It is called "Coats Hollow" ever since
    Some years ago three men were going out one night to hunt for they were in the habit of being out. They used to fish also. One night they suddenly saw a big ball of fire come from a house and then away over Ennereilly grave-yard. Now one of the men got frightened and used to stutter. And he said "I - I - I'll go- go ba- ba- back y- you go- n- no fur- further. He turned back although he had never been frightened before. The other two men saw nothing else.
