Age: 53 - Spent his life in district
    Fire:
About a year ago a big (fire) broke out in Mr George Hills place. All his hay and straw were burned. The blazes could be seen a long distance off. The fire burned all night. It was a windy night when it went on fire and some people say that a spark out of the dwelling house flew out and put it on fire and others say that it was put on fire purposely for revenge.
Another fire occured in Ballinasillogue. Mr.Byrne's house was burned down. It was a thatched house. The chimney took fire first and by this the house was put on fire. No lives were lost and a lot of the furniture was saved. The whole house was burned but it is re-built since and the people are living in it since.
