- Travelling-folk still call at my home. Some of them have been doing so for many years.Most of them are very poor. They sell small articles as pins, buttons, studs, and artificial flowers.
They make cans and other things out of tin, and sell them. They buy the tin in the towns. Some people buy a lot from them. They usually go about in bands in caravans.
Sometimes two or three families travel together. Some people are glad to see them, when they want cans and other things that they sell. They only stay in the district for a night or two and they sleep in tents, or caravans. They beg food from the country people, some of them(continues on next page)- Collector
