When the moon is hidden by black clouds at night, it is also a sign of rain. People say that if the sky is red in spring when the sun is setting it will be raining next day.
It is believed that when the sky and the sun is clear on a springs day there will be good weather.
When the distant hills seem near on a summer's evening it is a sure sign of rain.
On a summer's night if the sky is covered with white stripes, it is another sign of rain
Anytime in autumn that we see the swallows flying low we may be certain that there will be rain.
