  1. (continued from previous page)
From the Cove of Cork unto Dublin City,
To meet the preacher Greg. he went all the way.
For he exposed him before ten thousand,
With shame - the preacher - he ran away!
This religious Champion being true and loyal,
He also conquered for the Church of Rome.
He then confuted all Luther's writings,
He gained the conquest in every part,
Till a dose of poison proved Maguire's downfall,
And his Remains lie in Kilnavar.
    VI
This cruel murder passed all suspicion,
For six long weeks and a few days more,
Till the quilt was laid on his own houskeeper.
Who lived in the town of famed Ballinamore.
'Twould grieve the heart of the greatest heathen,
To see his reverence laid over ground.
He was raised and opened by special order,
And in his bowels the poison found.
    VII
'Twould be my desire, to see the knave expire,
On the flames of fire for such treachery,
Or in Luther's cell evermore to dwell,
Where the rich doth yell in misery.
