   Maggie she made vows saying thats a rotten lie. I'll vote for DeValera and the blueshirts I'll defy.
   And when the votes are counted you'll see we will head to Poll.
   And if I want a fire I'm going to burn Cole.
   On motoring up unto Staghall we had the best of [gaff]
   Maggie sat by Joseph's side. Wee Annie gave a laugh.
   O' Joe dear says Maggie there is something I want to know.
   Will you come down to Mr Reillys to play the old Banjo.
   Indeed I will says Joe and that with a right goodwill and he kissed his loving Maggie going down at Funny Hill.
   Terrys Jock got a shock when someone told the tale that Maggie was a rebel and had voted Fianna Fáil.
   Maggie was not much annoyed and told him very plain that any time she would get the chance she'd do the same again.
