- (continued from previous page)of the Bothlam Buidhe. All these weeds make the land poor. There is a herb with a yellow blossom known as St John's Wort. The roots of the Herb are boiled along with Primrose leaves and another herb as a cure for the jaundice. Nettles are also boiled and are very good for coughs. They are steeped in cold water over night and the water is drunk fasting in the morning and this is found to be very good for the Stomach. Dandelion leaves are sometimes used as a salad and Dandelion Wine is made from the yellow flowers which grows on the Dandelion.
- The lore of certain days. Monday for health, Tuesday for wealth, Wednesday the best day of all, Thursday for losses, Friday for crosses and Saturday no day at all. Old people do not believe in flitting(continues on next page)
