  2. Our fort is situated a field from the house. It is circular in shape and there are hawthorn bushes growing round it, and also some sloe bushes, which bear fruit every year. It is a raised mount and is about five or six feet above the level of the surrounding land. It is seven perches in diameter. The land inside the enclosure
