- There was hidden treasure in Drumheel. It was there about a hundred years. Lords who lived in it put it there. . It was put in a canister and hidden in a tree when it was planted. It was gold money. A boy about 25 years of age bought the tree in which the money was hidden. He had a piece of the stick in the fire and he saw the canister he took it out and got the gold. An old black smith lived in Caughoo about 150 years ago. There was a war. He hid a wig of baloon sovereigns near a lime kiln. He went and joined the army.
