   There is an old ruin in Caughoo named "Fleming's Folly". A man named "Fleming" built it. He meant to build it so high that he could see the ships at sea but he never lived accomplish his plans. People go there sightseeing in the Summer and hold picnics there. You can get a great view of it. It is the height of a four storey house. It is on a big hill and you see for miles and miles both North, South, East, and West. There is a pool of water at the foot of it.

   My father says about a hundred years ago the women spun their own linen out of flax and made their own wool and thread out of sheeps wool on a spinning wheel made for the purpose. We have a basket it is about thirty years made my grandfather made it. He made it out of Sallys and he could make creels, we have two of them but the bottom is out of them my father is
