Disregarding marriage customs now the week days are also lucky and unlucky in many other things. In this locality the people never like to open a grave on a Tuesday. They think that if they do so they will have to open another soon again.
Around here the old traditional customs regarding Hallow Eve create much merriment for some, to the scorn of others. On that night the boys go around and tie their neighbors' doors. Others put on a white sheet on themselves and go around frightening the people. Inside the children are enjoying themselves by playing the many old games that on connected with that once famous night. Whilst all such merriment is going on the people do not turn their backs on the poor suffering soul's in Purgatory. They still have the belief that their departed relatives visit their old home on that night so that they always leave a cup of milk on the table for their friends.
Around here the people that the twelve days after Christmas are symbolic to the twelve months of the year and it is rains on any of these days it will rain during the corresponding month.
