I enjoy St Stephen's Day the best, as on that day crowds of boys and even grown-ups come and go to houses and sing songs of the wren.
The wren, the wrenThese wren boys expect to get money when their song is sung. They disguise themselves in various ways; boys dress as girls and girls wear boys clothes.. They paint their faces or wear masks. They carry violens and on entering a house, which they often do without invitation, they play and dance.
