    'Leckna mumps'. Leckna was cured, by being dragged round the pig-sty with a halter.
    'A sty on the eye'. was cured by pointing nine gooseberry thorns at the eye and throwing one away.
    'A cut'. A cut was cured by pulling a leaf of 'slanlies', chewing it, and putting it on the cut.
