  1. (continued from previous page)
There is a prophet in this land,
And few his age can tell
And he had come to perfect strength
    Before that Adam fell.
He was with Noah in the ark
    With Adam in Paradise
And helped Peter at a time
To gain his soul a prize.
He wears a (rough) about his neck
That is worn by many nations
It is coloured like to Joseph's coat
    And never out of fashion.
He sleeps the great part of the night
    And wakens with a cry
And when all evil hears his voice
    It immediately doth fly.
    His wives they are innumerable
And he is tied to none
And when it comes to judgement day
He is not accused of sin.
And when the day of judgment comes.
