- A man was passing through a fort one night going for a midwife.
He met a little man on his way, who said he would land him at her house in a few minutes, if he would not talk by the way. The man promised he would not.
In a second he was sitting on the back of a white calf. The calf started to gallop, and to jump hedges, and ditches, and drains. But at last it came to a very, very wide drain which the calf jumped with ease. Then the man was so frightened that he shouted out at the top of his voice "Well: talk or not talk: that was a good hump for a calf"- Collector
