- Another very cheap rug can be made from smooth jute sacking. Cut the sacking into strips about 4 inches wide. Ravel one edge until a fringe of about 3 inches remains. Get a piece of sacking as large as the required rug. Sew the strips as prepared, close enough to allow only the fringe to be seen. Cover the whole foundation in this way working crosswise. Then add a strong lining and bind the edges. The stuff is usually dyed before starting to work, all of one shade. This rug looks quite nice, and lasts a long time, and will keep the feet as comfortable as a dearer one.

“Did you pass the 'Hungry Rock' Co. Sligo.”
Did you ever pass the "Hungry Rock" Co. Sligo. Every one who passes this throws in a stone. If not he or she will be overtaken by a hunger so sharp that he will be quite beaten up.The Fear-Gorta must be there.- Collector
