    Bleeding
    A penny placed on the tongue is a common cure for slight bleedings into the case of children.
    A key on back of neck.
    Wild – fire A gold sovereign rubbed round the rash on the good flesh is said to put a stop to the spread of wild fire.
    Cures for Warts
    1. A snail rubbed over them
    2. Wash them in the water trough used in a forge.
    3. The blood of a freshly killed pig, rubbed on.
    4. Buy them or sell them.
    Count them and pay some money, to the person who has the wart. They disappear.
    5. Count them, put the same no. of slries in a paper bag, leave the bag by the road.
    6. Steal a slice of bacon and apply.
    7. If on an animal. Tie a wax – end tightly round, it will disappear.
    8. Crow foot – weed which has 5 leaves, and 5 flowers on each. Yellow. Its stem contains a milky juice, which cures warts if rubbed with it.
