    bread the people used to put the wheat into bags and leave them beside the fire to dry. When dry the men ground it between two querns.
    On Sundays and other days they used only eat salt meat, but they used eat a lot of fish.
    They used have special food at special times of the year. At Christmas and Easter they used have sweet bread. The farmers used have fairly good food always but the labourers used often have to eat turnips.
