    My home is situated in the townland of Rockfield. There are about sixteen families in Rockfield. The most common name is Wilson and Kiernan. Most of the houses are slated. It got its name from a rock in a large field. There are three or four people over seventy. They do not know Irish. There are no ruins in the district. Not many people emigrate from this part. The land is not good. There is one wood in the townland. The most common trees are beech, ash, deal, poplar. There is a small lake called Rockfield Lake.
