    evicted was Mrs. Reilly. On the day of the eviction the whole neighbouring people gathered together and built a house for her called ''The Land League House.'' There was a song composed afterwards concerning this meeting called ''The League Meeting.''
    The bog is the property of Neary yet but the commission has taken over the land. The banks in the bog are let and tenants have only to pay a shilling each year and hey get a ticket giving them permission to keep their bank but non tenants have to pay for their bank.
    Anyone that the landlord had any claim over could not put their land into court to get their rent reduced. Theses were called ''Future Tenants'' and all their other tenants were called ''Judicial Enacts''.
    In Shannow there were three landlords namely Mr. Fay. Lord Farnham and Mr. Saunderson of Clover Hill. They were all looked upon as being bad landlords and many evictions occurred while they reigned. Mr. Bernard Galligan, Mr. William Harwood, Shannow and Mr. Tom Smith Tedehan were evicted. Mr B. Galligan took a cottage in Corglass and the others went on lodging. It was a landlord named Bogans that evicted Mr. Tom Smith. After this man's being evicted Pat Gilroy who was lodged in Shannow sent two men up to Bohana to get him reinstated but he refused.
