  1. It is said that there is a red dog with a blaze out of his mouth, and he is seen sitting at a gate on the foot of Drumlion hill, a short distant from Ballinagh. The dog was seen sitting at the bottom of the hill at Mr. Sam Lowry's gate.
    A woman of the name of Mrs B. Gaynor, who was working at the Rev. Mr. Potterton's saw this dog coming home from her work, and when she was going by the gate the dog ran out before her and ran from one side of the road to the other all the way to Ballinagh. A couple of years later Mrs Gaynor died.
