  1. The landlord that was over the townland of Aughawelia was Mr Slater. The people of the townland looked upon him as a bad landlord, because that had to pay big sums of money for rent, and if they didnt pay he would take the land from them.
    There was no planting made in the townland.
    The land lord divided the land into farms.
    He used to tell them what field to labour and if they did not do what he told them he would give the land to some one else.
