    Churning Contd
int hey used prayerful salutations such as 'God Bless the work'. Then they came and took a 'brash' at the churn for it is said to be lucky for everyone to give a hand.
There were many ancient beliefs that certain people had an evil power to take butter off the churn. In this case blessed salt was used and the butter was restored.
